Not all coupons are created equal! There are certain coupons that I wait for each month or each season knowing that they will result in free or cheap items. I thought it would be helpful to tell you what those coupons are! Of course I can’t list all of them, but this will give you a good idea on what to look for and why.
Soap Coupons:
Many times Kroger (and other stores) will put bar soap on sale for $1 to $1.49. Sometimes they are a part of a Mega Event. After double coupon you will be able to get a great deal on soap. Hubby uses Ivory and Irish Spring so I usually stockup when these coupons are out.
$0.50/1 Ivory or Safeguard Personal Cleansing Product, exp. 10/31/12 (P&G 09/30/12)
$0.50/1 Irish Spring Multi-Bar Pack or Body Wash, exp. 10/20/12 (SS 09/30/12)
$0.50/1 Zest Bars, exp. 11/19/12 (SS 10/07/12)
$0.35/1 SoftSoap Liquid Hand Soap Pump or Refill, exp. 10/20/12 (SS 09/30/12)
Dental:
Toothpaste will drop to $1 every once and awhile at Kroger. Reach floss has a regular price of $1 too.
$0.50/1 Crest Toothpaste or Liquid Gel, exp. 10/31/12 (P&G 09/30/12)
$1/1 Reach Floss printable
$2/2 Reach Toothbrush printable
Food:
$0.50/1 Muir Glen product (Use for organic tomato paste or organic soup)
$0.50/1 Francesco Rinaldi Pasta Sauce, exp. 11/11/12 (RP 09/30/12 R) (Just wait for a sale and a store that doubles coupons!)
$0.50/1 Nestle Toll House Morsels, exp. 11/30/12 (RP 09/09/12) (Great for baking season coming up.)
$0.75/1 Pringles Multigrain Can, exp. 10/31/12 (RP 09/09/12 R) (Anything high value for a single product that goes on sale for $1 to $1.49)
Cleaning:
Dawn dish soap will drop to $1 and usually Hand Renewal is included. Request the Home Made Simple mailer which usually has a Dawn coupon in it!
$0.50/1 Dawn Hand Renewal, Power Clean, Bleach Alternative or Oxi (Home Made Simple Mailer)
What I look for to know if it’s going to make for a great deal:
- High value for a low priced item: For example a few weeks back there was a $0.55/1 Zone Perfect Bar and these normally go on sale for $1.
- New products: Many times when new coupons popup, a high value coupon will come out. For example there was a $2/1 Hershey’s Simple Pleasure’s candy a few weeks back that made for free or cheap chocolate.
- Knowing sale cycles and prices: Just knowing the sales cycles and rock bottom prices are a big key. For example, I know that Crest Toothpaste will drop to $1 and so will Dawn Dish Soap. I hold the coupons until those prices hit.
I hope this was helpful in identifying what coupons you should hold onto and wait until those rock bottom prices hit!
